A highly recommended dish for vegetarians and vegans, ideal for wrapping up festivities where we may have indulged in excessive food.
Ingredients:
1 broccoli
1 lemon
2 garlic cloves
3 tablespoons of olive oil
A pinch of black pepper
A pinch of turmeric
Instructions:
Wash the broccoli, cut the central stem, and separate the florets. Remember that the stem can be reserved for making vegetable broth. If you cut the broccoli in half, it will cook faster.
Peel the garlic cloves and slice or chop them. Then, squeeze the lemon, and you can also grate a bit of the zest. You can also season it to taste, for example, with black pepper and turmeric.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with both top and bottom heat.
Roast the broccoli with garlic and lemon on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Ensure that the vegetables are in a single layer. The baking time is about 20 minutes. At the 10-minute mark, flip the broccoli florets.
When serving, you can sprinkle sesame seeds and drizzle a bit of olive oil. It can be enjoyed as an individual dish or as a side for meats, fish, or in vegan and vegetarian dishes.
